Baseball Batting Cages at Duke City Cages, New Mexico

Jul 12 · Did You Know?

Through the Acorn app we’re able to support businesses that make our communities thrive. Everyday we learn more about our activities and how they enrich the wellbeing of children and families. Today, we hear from Duke City Cages about batting experiences!

1. Please tell us a little about Duke City Cages.

Duke City Cages is an indoor batting cage and training facility for baseball and softball located in downtown Albuquerque on 1st Street between Lomas and Mountain. We opened in September 2017 with the goal offering a place where the first-timer or trained professional can come and have a great experience. The facility is over 18,000 sq. ft with 14 lanes equipped with pitching machines, balls, tees and training aids. We even have helmets and bats for people that want to walk-in and have some fun!

2. Tell us about a favorite moment.

We found it exciting when people from out of state have brought their teams to our facility to train before a game. We are still in our first year of business and it is great to know people are finding our facility on social media and giving us a chance based on our reviews. We are very appreciative to our customers for taking time to write honest reviews on their experience at Duke City Cages. They are a huge part in our growth.

4. What is your Baseball Team about?

Our baseball program is designed to help players improve their mechanics and mental approach to the game of baseball. In accomplishing this goal, players focus on personal growth, responsibility and teamwork. The program has been designed by professionals who understand today’s competitive atmosphere.

Our state-of-the-art facility offers digital video analysis, professional instruction and fitness conditioning to help players maximize their potential. The right fundamentals and progressive training allow players to gain confidence and necessary skills to achieve their potential. We believe in developing the player’s success on and off the field.

5. Do you have any new projects or exciting things we should know about?

This summer we held training camps for baseball. That will be focusing on hitting, fielding and conditioning. We had our open tryouts for our Fall baseball program at the end of June for our 14, 13 and 12 year old teams.
